Summer Opening Ceremony

Come celebrate the 20th birthday of our festival with us! We invite you to a spectacular opening ceremony, which will take place on 16th and 17th August at 9 pm in Letná Park on the newly built pond. Over 50 artists from the Czech Republic and abroad will perform in a special project prepared exclusively for Letní Letná called “A Tribute to the New Circus”.

In the spirit of Letní Letná, the Swedish troupe Cirkus Cirkör will join with Czech artistic swimmers and acrobats from Cirk La Putyka, Losers Cirque Company and AirGym Art Company to create a show that can only be seen on these two days and never again!

A tribute to contemporary circus, only on 16th and 17th August at 9pm, with no entrance fee. Czech and Swedish performers, acrobats and swimmers will have the unique opportunity to create together a few days before the official opening of the festival and then present to the audience a work that pays tribute to contemporary circus, mixing the four elements: fire, air, water and love.
