Info for professionals

Letni Letna is the biggest contemporary circus festival in Czech Republic. Within 19 days in 2024 it offers more than 200 circus and theatre performances with an attendance of more than 50 000 visitors. Festival has different options to offer to proffesionals.

1) Professional meeting

This year on 21st of August "Professional afternoon" will happen. During this day you will have the chance to meet members of newly established Czech Contemporary Circus Associaction, hear about Czech Circus Nights event and see brand new documentary movie "Hearth of contemporary circus" made during last Letni Letna in 2023.

2) International productions

There are 3-4 foreign companies at each edition of the festival, either coming with their own tent or performing in a rented one. These companies stay for the whole period of the festival and perform 13 to 15 shows.

Cirque Le Roux from France return again with their brand new production Entre Chiens et Louves
Musicians and acrobats together will present you PIC, by Surnatural Orchestra & Cirque Inextremiste
Taiwanese company Eye catching circus is bringing #1994 in asian style
French company Les Rois Vagabonds is bringing its poetic show Concerto pour deux Clowns
All four shows will run from August 14 to September 1.

Besides its headliners Letni Letna presents another unique project connecting czech and international artists.

Open-air show will be created specially for Letni Letna. Victor Cathalla and Kati Pikkarainen (Cirque Aïtal) will work with 8 czech female artists and work together outdoor show called "she is not me" performance. The creation will be presented at 29th and 30th August.
In frame of Czech scene and in cooperation with Roztoc multi-circus festival unique event will happen at 20th and 21st of August. In (Not only) Juggling Galashow you will meet many great artists from all over Europe.

3) Czech Contemporary Circus Scene Festival

One of the festival chapiteau is dedicated to Czech contemporary circus scene. Each year the festival presents premieres and popular Czech shows from well established companies as well as new emerging artists. You can see a different show practically every day as the festival provides space for almost every Czech contemporary circus company.

In 2024, in the course of 19 days, Letni Letna will present the very best of well-established as well as emerging Czech artists.

You can look forward to shows by AirGym Art Company, BoCirk, Bratri v tricku (Brothers in trick), Cirk La Putyka, Cirko Hopley, Feel The Universe Circus Company, Holektiv, Ivana Kolcunova, Losers Cirque Company, Moetivi karavan and many more in Circus Miniatures (short pieces) or students evenings.
